Judging System

At TFT competitions, judging is carried out by a panel of highly experienced and professionally trained industry experts. Our judges come from a diverse range of  backgrounds — including professional dancers, dance and aerobics teachers, choreographers, musical theatre performers, cruise ship entertainers, singing teachers, and professional singers. To ensure fainess and credibility, judges only assess within their area of expertise. This approach guarantees that every performance is evaluated by someone who truly understands the technical and artistic demands of that particular discipline.

To maintain the highest level of integrity and fairness, TFT implements a dual-panel system, where each judge is assigned to focus on either Artistic or Technical elements of a performance. Artistic judges assess areas such as expression, storytelling, musicality, and creativity, while Technical judges evaluate precision, execution, timing, and control. Within each judging stream, there is a strict scoring framework with clearly defined criteria and subcategories, which ensures consistency and removes the influence of personal taste or bias.

This structured approach not only gives every performer a fair opportunity to be assessed on their skill and intent, but also supports our core philosophy: to celebrate effort, growth, and performance quality across all levels. By eliminating subjective scoring and reinforcing clear standards, TFT delivers a judging system that is transparent, professional, and as impartial as possible, allowing talent to truly shine on its own merits.
